Now What

You said, “Yes.” Now what?
I have found in my walk with the Lord that He works in our hearts to bring us to an action point; a decision in our lives. He is working in our hearts, minds, and circumstances to do His good pleasure (Ephesians 2:10) and trying to help us understand what that is. This internal conviction with hours of thinking, re-thinking, and praying is part of understanding His work inside of us. We often think our thoughts and desires are our own, most the time they are, but if we are abiding in the Vine (John 15:1-11) then we have His thoughts and desires inside of us, too.
Jesus promises if we abide in Him and obey His commands then we will have His life-giving spirit flowing through us. His Spirit gives us life and unity with the Son and the Father and helps us to know His will. The promise for joy found in John 15:11 comes through this abiding. He also makes a promise as we abide in Him, “Ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you”. This is a, “Wow!” when you think of the power and magnitude of that promise.
You said, “Yes” to the call of God on your life. You took the time to consider the perfect will of the Father as it relates to your obedience in following Him. It might be missionary work, ministry to the poor and needy, or it might be living the daily life of a dedicated disciple. You said, “Yes” and He said, “As you abide in me, I’ll abide in you.”
Now as you contemplate your action steps be assured He is guiding you. In prayer, make a decision on your next step of action. It’s time to declare His will to others and move forward in obedience to discover His answers to your prayers.
Your joy will be full!
His Best;
Andy
